A screen they sell
Cozyla's Calendar Plus 3 page describes a wall display in 24-inch and 32-inch sizes, a rotatable mount in the box, and a 120-day money-back guarantee. On November 4, 2026 the page listed the display at $769.99 and also showed $799.99 crossed out. Optional frames were listed separately. Prices change, so read that page the day you buy.
The same page says a membership is not required for core features, including the shared calendar, chores, routines, rewards, meal planning and the voice agent. Calendar Super is optional and, on Cozyla's Super product page, listed at $6.99 with monthly or annual billing. The annual dollar amount was not shown on that page when we checked. Cozyla's membership article, updated September 4, 2026, lists Cozyla Essential at $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year for Calendar Neo devices, and says Plus series devices already include Essential features.
A tablet you already own
HouseChief does not sell a device. The wall display is a browser page on a tablet you already own: today and tomorrow, each kid's chores, dinner and the grocery list. It dims at night. You supply the tablet and the mount. The same account works on a phone and a computer, also in the browser.
Calendar sync is two ways with Google Calendar, iCloud and Outlook. Cozyla's Plus 3 FAQ says Cozyla syncs Apple, Google, Outlook, CalDAV and URL calendars, and that true two-way sync applies to selected third-party calendars. The FAQ does not name that selected set, so this page does not guess it. School email in HouseChief is a forward, then Approve. Cozyla's Plus 3 page says photos or URLs can be imported into events or recipes (Smart Import).
Chores, meals and the assistant
Both products plan meals and track chores. Cozyla's Plus 3 page lists routines, chores with points, rewards, meal plans, a recipe library, grocery lists and a pantry tracker among the features that do not need a membership. HouseChief uses stars, streaks, rotation and a rewards store a parent approves, plus an aisle-sorted grocery list. Kids in HouseChief are profiles with no email.
Cozyla's voice agent is on the device. Unlimited use is part of Super, according to the September 4, 2026 help article, which also lists an art gallery and a weekly recap on Super. HouseChief's Chief of Staff proposes calendar and meal changes and waits until a parent taps Approve. It can add to a list with Undo. It does not type passwords or card numbers.
Which one fits your family
Cozyla is likely the better fit if you:
- Want a display and mount from Cozyla, in the sizes they sell.
- Want their voice agent on that screen, with core calendar, chores and meals on the Plus 3 without a membership.
- Want a pantry tracker and photo or URL import, as their Plus 3 page describes.
HouseChief is likely the better fit if you:
- Already have a tablet and do not want to buy a screen.
- Want two-way Google Calendar, iCloud and Outlook, and Approve before calendar or meal changes.
- Want the organizer in the browser on the phones you already carry.
Skylight and Hearth are the other screens compared here: Skylight and Hearth. For a shared calendar app rather than a display, see Jam and TimeTree.
HouseChief works in any browser on a phone, tablet or computer you already own. Sign up when you want it for your family.
