Delete your HouseChief account

Delete the whole family account

Only the family's account owner (the parent who signed up, unless they handed it over) can do this.

1. Sign in

   Open the HouseChief app, or go to housechief.app, and sign in as the account owner.

2. Open Settings

   Make sure you're using your own profile (not a kid's), open Settings and scroll to the bottom.

3. Delete family account

   Tap Delete family account, type your family's name and your password, and confirm.

That permanently deletes your household and everything in it: every parent's and kid's profile, sign-ins, passkeys and devices; calendar events, meals, recipes, lists, to-dos and projects; chores, stars and rewards; agent chats, memories, skills and routines; coloring pages and stories; family photos; share links, the Inbox and your family email address; and the detailed counts of how your family used the app. HouseChief's access to the calendars, OneDrive and apps you connected is revoked too.

Delete only your own account

A parent who isn't the account owner can open Settings, scroll to the bottom and choose Delete my account. Your sign-in, devices, connected accounts, agents and chats are removed; what you added for the family stays with the family.

What we keep

• Everything is deleted from HouseChief right away, and from backups within 1 day.
• A record that a family account was deleted and when, with no names or contact details.
• Feedback you sent us with Send feedback, without your name attached.
• Files already saved in your own OneDrive or Google account, and events copied to your Google, iCloud or Outlook calendar, stay there. You can remove them yourself, or ask us to.

Can't sign in?

Email support@housechief.app from the email address on your HouseChief account and ask us to delete it. We'll check the request comes from you and answer within 45 days.
